    The "satellite" pictures on Google earth aren't actually satellite pictures at that resolution, rather aerial photos taken by surveying planes at around 8,000ft I think, so they're taken on a certain day and that's it until the next update. It's not like there's a constant feed that you can just freeze at a certain time to view a particular event.

    So all the planes we see here were flying below 8000ft, or whatever that altitude is.
