Slingbox - what frame rate you getting?

Out of interest, I'm using my slingbox from abroad at the moment and the video quality is low - sorta like early YouTube videos :)

My FPS alternates between 18-22 and had a peak at about 25, but even then its hard to see the ball in the Munster game.

I'm thinking Eircom's upload speeds are rubbish and should look to either upgrade or (hopefully) take my business elsewhere.

Anyone have any input on what kind of FPS they normally get using an Irish ISP?

    Thanks in advance :D

You need 512k upload speed minimum. For decent quality 1Mbps upload speed.

    Cheers.

I got someone to test it for me back in Ireland and its a measly 0.19 - 0.22 MB/s upload speed at the moment.

I sure hope Eircom have a better package or a competitor does cause that clearly isn't gonna fly.

My own upload abroad was 1 MB/s. I know its upload speed that counts but my own download speed measuring 18.85 while back in Ireland it was 1.76 (using speedtest.net).

I hope this is my bad luck and not a case of Ireland still lagging behind the rest of Europe?

With UPC my download is 14.09 and my upload is 1.4 on their 15MB package. Its so far ahead of Eircom its not even funny. This is consistant as well, as in whenever I run a speedtest no matter what time of the day it will be more or less the same. If you can get UPC then I wouldnt even hesitate to ditch Eircom.
