Two of Ireland's biggest musical success stories will be among Ryan Tubridy's guests on tonight's 'Late Late Show'.

The Script, whose new album 'Science and Faith' is released today, will perform two songs from the record and talk about their success in the US.

Also appearing on the show will be The Corrs' Sharon Corr, who has just released her solo album.

Irish golf star Graeme McDowell will be talking about his big win at the US Open and the upcoming Ryder Cup.

'The Late Late Show' is on RTÉ One at 9:50pm.

Last Friday's first show of the season attracted an average audience of 835,000 viewers, with a one-minute peak of 1.02m viewers.

    Let the criticism begin!

    Tubs talking sport, whoo-hoo.

Why is it starting at 9.50pm?
Is there some breaking story on the news? bank lockdown or something?

"Last Friday's first show of the season attracted an average audience of 835,000 viewers, with a one-minute peak of 1.02m viewers. "

I'd say 800,000 promptly turned over after Blair

No one of interest to me on it tonight, will not be watching it.

Any chance somebody could push Tubridy in to the Queen Vic as it's burning...

Tubridy, please for once research the sports interview ... i.e. with Graeme Mcdowall... Dont ask him about his love for Ireland, the many trips to the South he takes every year, his wife, his kids.... ask him about golf (i.e. the reason he's there), about the U.S. Open, Ryder Cup.. etc etc..

Sharon Corr is boring enough.. good enough singer/violinist, no interest in her songs though.. Hope she brings Jim, he's always good for a bit of lunacy.. His assertion that the illuminati moved the tectonic plates to cause the earthquake in Haiti was brilliant..

Will be matched by the number of times that Tubridy says "Pebble???"

No Jimmy Carr? Must've been a change in bookers when the plank left.

Is that all the line up? I don't know what he's going to be talking about to Sharon Corr for about 15 - 20 minutes.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,718 ✭✭✭✭JonathanAnon

I thought about that Pistol, but from experience... the ones that they advertise are usually the only guests that are a) famous and b) bearable... No doubt one or two of the regulars list on the other thread will be on .... so have your pen ready to check off one of Twink, Baz, Lucy Kennedy, Linda Martin, Charlie Bird, Brendan O'Connell, Eamonn Dunphy, group of priests about random issues, FF politicians.. etc etc..

Tubs: "Enough about you GMac let's get to what everyone really wants to hear....How is Tiger Woods getting on...did you know graham.....did you ....did you know?"

    EDIT:
is that 2 albums from Sharon Corr in a year?..........last time she was on tv it was a right snoooooooooze

Nob nation's Oliver Callan is on too. He just tweeted this:

Nob Nation is on the Late Late Show tonight. Expect Jedward and Blair to make a reappearance, and the obligatory Tubs vs Tubs battle...

Oh the irony is only gorgeous. McDowell is neither married or has kids.

Will she be unable to sing in tune like her last LLS appearance?

Hmmm, she missed a few notes alright. Wasnt very confident at the vocal, she became much more confident when playing the fiddle..
Will be interesting to see how much her vocal performance has improved in the year.

Hopefully she will have practised her lip-synching!

Callan isn't funny. Would rather Rosenstock.

Sharon Corr. Boring and can't sing. Would rather Caroline.

Dunno what McDowell is like being interviewed. Would rather McElroy.

Don't like The Script. Would rather Snow Patrol.

So I'm off to that parallel universe where all the alternative subjects are being interviewed, and Matt Cooper is the interviewer!
