lagging jackets hot water cylinder

    hi

    we have a hot water cly. with moulded insulation ,blue foam.

    in morning we find water is luke warm.

    is this normal

    No but you need to be sure that the water in the cylinder is at the recommended temp of 65 C when it is heated, that said if the cylinder is hot at night then you will need to make sure that the pipping at the cylinder is lagged min 1M. A dripping tap will also deplete the cylinder. Is the flow to the cylinder controlled by a stat and valve or just a wheel-head.
