Can any relative claim tax relief on nursing home fees. For example if a brother pays money
towards the cost of keeping his sister in a nursing home.

Due to the fact that the brother's son is paying tax at the higher rate. It would be
preferable if they were to claim the tax relief. Can the son make a claim stating that
    they contributed towards the fees?
