Iphone from Thailand?

    Hi all I'm new on this section and maybe my question is stupid but here goes.

    If I buy an iphone in Thailand can I use it at home with an vodaphone pay as you go sim card?

    If it is an unlocked iPhone, yes.

    However if it's not unlocked it won't work with an Irish sim.

    You can unlock easily enough yourself though, through jailbreaking it.

    If the Iphone is posted to you, you will need to pay customs. Aither way if it's lock get also a sim car from the network so you can activate it after restores and upgrades.

    Make sure it's a genuine iPhone as well.

    You'd also want to be 100% sure it's a genuine Apple product. I'd be a little wary buying online or any method without having it in your hand before you part with your spondoolies.

    So I just have to make sure its a genuine iphone and thats its unlocked (but even if locked its possible to unlock)- is that correct

    How much are they charging for it? Should be a good indicator of whether it's genuine or not...

    In thailand at the moment, lots of fake iphone clones knocking around.
