I finally decided on what laptop I wanted to buy today and settled on an acer aspire 4820TG. Thought I'd found a great price on pc world uk at £649.97 with a further reduction to £624.97. The plan was to get it delivered to a friend up north and collect it from there but it turns out they only accept uk registered credit cards and would not accept payment:(

So my question now is does anyone know where the cheapest place to get it in Ireland might be? Elara and other irish websites have it at nearly €1100..

    Thanks in advance.

Theres a PC World just off the M1 ( the main motorway to the north IIRC ) so driving up there might be another option

Which version are you after... the HD 5470 or HD 5650, i3 or i5?

Thanks, that was actually my first idea but they're out of stock in every branch and according to them can now only be purchased for delivery so i assume they have a few left over in some warehouse somewhere..

It's the i5 i'm after, the graphics card doesn't matter so much to me although the one from pc world had the HD 5470
