Don't think it's in the shops yet.

Just buy it direct from Apple, you'll get free shipping.

€299 euros and ships in a 5-7 days.

Cheers for the replies, was actually looking to get my hands on one over the weekend as it is needed as gift but it doesn't look like any of the local stores are getting them this week by the looks of it. Anyone no if the Apple store in Belfast would have them yet.

'Argos will endeavour to deliver FREE on September 10th; however Argos cannot be held responsible for any delay in delivery if there is a disruption to services outside of our control.'

just noticed that on argos.ie.. might be out tomorrow then?

    Still no sign of it.

I was in town a little while ago and tried Argos/PC World/HMV/Arnotts/Smyths and nothing.

They are listed in the new Argos catalogue but the code brings up a "out of stock" I tired the code for the new nano's and it came up as "go to till" so I think they have them.

There is an Apple authorised seller on the bottom of Grafton Street near Trinity College but I didn't make it over that way.

I rang Compu b last Wednesday. The person who answered wasn't sure when they'd get them in; they were meant to be in on Friday (the 10th), but she said probably some time this week, but she was unable to specify when.

The Apple Stores themselves have bugger all stock of the things, was in the Apple store in Manchester on Saturday, they had the 8gb in stock, no 64 gigs and had only received a small number of 32gb units which were long gone. Was advised there that I would be better off just ordering it online from Apple rather than wasting my time ringing round.

Utterly wonderful, was upgrading from a 2nd gen, the speed difference is quite impressive. Now I just need to find a good case to maintain the shiney :)

Having an ordeal trying to buy this thing!

Was on the smyths website this morning and it said they were in stock in most of the stores hooray finally I was thinking.

Had to go into town in anyway so I would pick one up in there, go in and ask your man behind the counter says no sorry we have none, eh I just checked your site like 30 minutes and ago and they are there, let me check for you, comes back a minute later and says they do have them but are pre booked, so I go away but its kinda on my mind im not sure if you can pre book them.

I check the site and yes you can pre book some stuff but I cant see anywhere it says you can with iPods so I go back to the store and speak with a different member of staff and he says the same as the guy but I bring up the point that you cant pre book them on the site etc etc etc and he is adamant that you can I was pretty sure I was correct but wasnt in the mood for it so just left!

Go to HMV and they do have them now im thinking sweet but nope they arent sold out as well, ugh taken in the little sign that you have to bring to the counter if you want to buy one when you are out of the stock!!!

Guy was pretty helpful in the shop so I will probably end up buying it there because of the not very helpful staff in smyths.

    :(
