    Hi All
I'm looking to do a diploma in speech and drama in Cork. I have my gold medals with LAMDA in speech and acting. I want to do the diploma so I can teach. Does anyone know where i can do this in Cork?

I looked into the College of Commerce, they do a diploma but then you have to do a 2nd yr for associateship and then a 3rd yr for licentiate. is seems really drawn out... after the 1st yr you dont really have anything,

Has anyone done this course in college of com or does anybody know of anywhere else in Cork that does this? (part-time/evening) .
most of the courses Ive seen are in Dublin..

    Thanks ..

As far as I know you have to do to years part time at least. One year Associate diploma and one year Licentiate. The Russell Academy or the Leinster School of Music and Drama are the two biggest ones but if you contact the Irish BOard of Speech and Drama they should be able to tell you a bit more. I wanted to teach too but it seems like there's no way to fit the whole lot into one year.

Hi, I know this is from a while ago,
Just wondering if you could help me out?

My sister was hoping to start a course that will help her become a speech and drama teacher, did you find out what you needed to do?

    Thanks

Hi , you can do it in the college of commerce in Cork as far as I know, but I couldnt go straight to diploma, had to do licentiate first or something like that, so it would have taken 2 years. Or else, you could find a drama teacher in your area who can give private lessons for the diploma.
