What happens if your licence lapses?

    Hi.I'm just wondering what happens if you let your licence lapse?

    If your on your second provisional will you get another one or will you have to do the theory exam again?

    If you have a full licence will you have to go back to the beginning again?

    Are you asking on behalf of two people here? I'm just wondering why you're quoting two completely different scenarios.

    In the case of a full licence you must renew within 10 years, otherwise you're back to square one meaning learner permit/theory test/driving test.

    It's all explained here.... http://www.rsa.ie/ and you then need to click either on 'Learner Drivers' or 'Licensed Drivers'.
