    Hi Everyone,

My partner is going back to college full time next week and has been thankfully put on the Back to Education Allowance. I am working very casually at the moment (Max one day a week, if even) and am currently waiting on my Jobseekers Benefit to come through. I am just wondering would we be considered for Rent Relief? We rent through an agency but pay rent directly into our Landlords account. Our rent is set at 600 a month. Do we contact our agent or the landlord directly first? Does anyone know how much we would be likely to receive? Thanks! :o

Ask your landlord first if he will receive rent allowance as many places don't, then really it all depends on what county you live in as its different rates with them all

The landlord definitely does accept rent relief, I know this for sure. I'm in Co Wexford, I'm sure there are different rates for different counties, but I really don't have a clue how much roughly you could get?! I'm just wondering is it even worth my while?! I don't know too much about it, really im just wanting to know on average how much people get.
