Am receiving Job seekers benefit, but this finishes up for me next month, any point in applying for Job Seekers Allowance as I'm married and husband working full-time?

Yes apply anyway if even just to ensure that you get PRSI credits

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Yip agreed on applying anyway and keep up credits etc. so as not to leave gaps which look suspicious and can be difficult to explain, and hard to protest and stand up for yourself to some-one with a suspicious air if they ask questions.

    Hello

I got a letter from the Social Welfare to say that my job seekers benefit will end soon and to apply for Job Seekers Allowance. This is means tested.

What is the procedure: do I call into them with the signed letter, bank statements, receipts, proof of id and address and meet with them.

Can this be done at the desk with the CWO or do the call to your house. If so are you notified of them calling to visit you and what time they will arrive or do they call on spec?

If anyone knows the procedure I would be very grateful.
    Thanks
