Just moved to Calverstown and gutted to find that no eircom broadband! apparently on list for 2010 but also seems to have been on a list since 2007 or before so not that optimistic that it will actually happen in 2010!

Husband needs broadband to work from home, self employed.

Anyone any experience, mobile network options don't seem to be too good!

    Thanks

It were scheduled for Q4 2009 , no sign yet. They have about 40 exchanges to do from the list issued in March 2007

You could always contact eircom wholesale for an update

I think ninethreehill might be available in that area, no idea what their service is like though.

    Ripplecom could be another option

No personal experience at all, if you do a search on this forum you'll find some complaints, but many of those are from former Ice customers, ripplecom took over Ice's network when they went broke, and often their can be problems integrating two networks.

I'd say ask around locally, watch out for houses with a small square antenna on the roof.

We 'might' have coverage in that area, but have not tested in Calverstown as of yet.
