Ps3 Repair?

Hi

Just got quoted €120 in Cork to replace the laser on my 40 gb ps3 that suffered the blu ray of death

Does any one know is this about the going rate or can it be replaced cheaper.

Im in Cork so theres no extra posting costs which is handy

Should I go ahead with this price or can someone recommend a cheaper alternative?

For €120 you'd be almost better off getting Sony a call.

Ye DIY is the way to go just replaced my dodgy ps3 lens this week €40 for a new lens delivered off ebay and just watch the youtube vid its handy
