Ive being watching the bangernomics thread for ages and might need to buy something cheap in a couple of weeks. Im a jap car fan and swear by Toyotas all the time but I kinda fancy a change.
I think the best car around the €1k or less mark for me would be the Toyota Camry 2.2 diesel auto.
But If I was to try a different make what do you guys think would be the best option in auto up to 2.5 I would prefare diesel but beggers cant be choosers. I need reliability and really dont like renault, peugot, fiats ect..
Whats sticking in my mind is old Merc or maybe Bmw 520.

there are loads of 2nd hand cars out there.
if you go for a 2.2 you will be paying around 850 road tax.
i have a 2.2 previa which im getting rid of for that reason.
