    Cummins
    Stapleton Curran Tyrell
    Walsh Walsh Delaney
    B Maher Fennelly
    Hayes McGrath Corbett
    E Kelly Tipp Power Mullane

I would have Connors in for Stapleton and Dooley in for Eoin Kelly, I would nearly have Dalton in for Tyrell

Talk about Padraig Maher, great final but got an awful roasting in the first round and was poor against Galway, Delaney was immence again this year and Tommy Walsh is just getting the ball sent away from him

Eoin Kelly will stay there for All-Star, what you will find(if there is a change) is Dooley coming in for Mullane. Won't happen though

Mullane is certain of an all star. Kelly was far from his normal standards. Dooley played well in nearly all of Offaly's games.

Was Cummins that great either? I thought that Gary Maguire had a great year.

No Noel Connors is an absolute joke. Near certain of an All-Star and contender for YHOTY imo.

    +1

The most tested of all IC hurling goalkeepers this year.

Just can't understand Noel Connors not being in there. Young Hurler of the Year too.

Brendan Maher and Noel McGrath will edge out Noel for young hurler of the year but I would have him get an all star

Stapleton was taken apart by Mullane in the semi, and was the weak link in the defense against Kilkenny. Even if they were under pressure to pick Tipp players Cahill was far better, but Noel Conners had a far better season than either of them.

I'd have him down as a young player of the year candidate along with Noel McGrath and Brendan Maher, McGrath winning it.

Still think too much is dependant on winning the All Ireland. If Tipp had not won would Stapleton be getting on the team of the year. For me Eoin Connors more consistent over the season even allowing for my Deise bias!!

Young Hurler and Hurler of the Year will come from Tipp alright. Brendan Maher for one of them (I'd nearly say both).

Was Noel McGrath even that good this year? Great in the SF but I thought he was quiet otherwise...

Dooley's a good call (for Kelly or McGrath) and Connors should be a dead cert. Horgan from Cork and Michael Rice (who I think was very unlucky not to take his place back for the final) could also be considered in the half-forward line.

Joey Boland also deserves an All-Star nomination, even though he won't win it.

    Eoin Connors?????

Brendan Maher is a dead cert for young hurler of the year and Lar will get hurler of the year and there cant be any arguments about that!... Noel McGrath would get YHOTY before Connors anyway but Brendan will get it!...

That team will be the All-star team with Shane Dooley coming in for Eoin Kelly!..

alot of the time, the young player of the year doesnt make the all stars. happened in 2002 (gooch/ronan clarke) and im pretty sure tommy walsh didnt get an all star in 2008 nor did killian young in 2007...

Generally in hurling though the young player of the year will come from the all stars.

Agree with noel connors and I think padraig maher deserves a place too, although i don't know which of the kilkenny lads I would drop.

Maher came good at the right stage of the season and has been completely dominant in the u21 championship also.
