Daily Routine + Workout/Diet Posted...Advice Please.

    After 4 years of a crazy college life of beer, pizza and every other take-away under the sun I am back into my fitness frame of mind.....

    Here is all my info:


    Sex: Male
    Age: 21 (Just shy of 22)
    Height: 6"1
    Weight: 16 Stone / 101kg / 224lbs

    I am not a member of a gym nor am I going to join one, I just don't have the time for one at the moment....so here is my current home bodyweight workout:

    Jumping jacks (50)
    Close grip push ups (20)
    Jumps (10)
    Pull ups (10)
    Squats (40)
    Push ups (25)
    Walking lunges (10 per side)
    Underhand inverted rows (15)
    Bicycle crunches (40)
    Squats (25)
    Jumping jacks (50)

    I currently try to complete this circuit twice per workout, twice a week.

    Coupled with that I walk into and from work (30min each way) 5 days a week and try to fit in a 20 min walk on my break.

    I have also started running/jogging again...yesterday (my first run) I managed a solid 3k run and would like to up that to 5k - 7k consistently, every other day.



    My day including diet would generally be as follows:

    7:30 - 30min walk to work

    9:00 - Breakfast: 2 weetabix, skimmed milk.

    Snack: Piece of fruit.

    Snack: Piece of fruit.

    1:15 - Lunch: 2 small brown bread (whole wheet / soda bread) sandwiches. Low fat mayo, lettuce, onion and choice of meat (chicken, fish, pork, steak).

    Snack: Piece of fruit.

    4:00 - (Three times a week) Run/Walk: 3k - 5k + 30min walk home.
    or
    4:00 - (Twice a week) Walk/Workout: 30min walk home + workout (as above).

    6:00 - Dinner: Choice of meat (chicken, fish, pork, steak, etc.) over cooked and veg (Boiled or stir fried).

    Snack: Smoothie - 2 spoons of Low fat yoghurt, 5 - 7 frozen strawberries, peach, banana and a glass of orange juice.


    Throughout the day I drink about 8 - 9 pints of water.


    My overall goal is to be fit and healthy again. As for weight I'm thinking xmas would be a good target date and 2 Stone should be possible by then.


    What I ask from you guys and girls is any advice on improving my diet/workout/regime? I want to lose weight while toning my muscles, is my above regime best suited for this?
