Ìf you have drawings or templates a small joinery works or furniture maker would cut them for you, the degree of finish that you require i.e. sanding, staining, polishing, would be up to yourself.

yes, you're right the original were made from something called nylok (sp?) but most of the mk1's (in the uk at least) make them from ash now...

The inner wood between the panels is also stick on !

I'm looking to make a "sleeper" estate - maybe a 2.0 pinto in it :D

I believe there's little blue pills you can get that are very good for wood restoration ; ) .

Seriously though, I love the custom surf wagon look on that cortina but then I kinda liked the Griswald machine too.

    I have the following
    - pictures (hi resolution) for a restored car
    - a scaled drawing with dimension taken from the original ford brochure
The measurements were checked on a real car....

To be honest, every cortina estate woody I have seen have slight differences in the wood placement and dimensions ...

My Father is a fantastic Joiner, I'm sure a job like this would be simple for him. I could ask him to take a look if you like?

Ask him how he would offset the metal oxide staining between any metal fixing contact, and the ash or oak used in the project:D:D

Oops, I should have posted that in the Woodcraft forum.
