M50 eFlow query

I'm not registered with eFlow and have just been paying after each trip at Payzone outlet.

On Sunday I used the M50 and went through the toll area once. However, my OH thought we had gone through twice (we travelled through the city on the return journey instead) so paid for two journeys at the Payzone outlet.

I'm wondering what will happen to my €3 now. Will it be there for the next time I drive through the toll or have I lost it? I've tried phoning their Customer Service number but I can't seem to get through to an operator to ask.

I know it's only €3 but it's the principle of the matter. I try not to use the M50 unless it's really necessary, so that I don't have to pay the toll!

I think it should count as a pre-payment towards your next two trips but you should call them to confirm it.

All over the world, motorway tolls are located between cities, and all the city and town bypassed on motorways are usually toll-free.
It's to prevent people driving through the city just to avoid toll.

    You are perfect example.

Funny it is, that in Ireland it works other way.

i dont mind paying the toll to use a road, the problem is stopping somewhere to actually pay it, it kind off defeats the purpose,
you should see the looks i get in cork when i ask to pay the m50 toll:)

See, you don't mind paying the toll.
But there will be hundreds of others, who will mind, and they will go through the city just to save 3 euro.
This makes unnecesserly high traffic in the town, which could easily be avoided.

I'd just set up a post pay account. It avoids a lot of hassle as i was always forgetting to pay the next day. I only use it now and again but it's 50cent less and they sent you the statement a few weeks before they debit your account. People are always complaining of problems with Eflow, but i haven't had any.

I'd ring eflow just to confirm that the 3 euro extra you paid will go towards your next journey.

If you paid twice it should carry forward as a credit.
I paid twice in September 2008 and didn't use the toll again until August 2009 and the previous extra payment was used.

I also confirm that guys a eflow are fair play.
I forgot to pay my toll by 8pm next day.
I realised at 10pm, so I paid it then.

I wrote an email explaining that I just forgot, but I paid it as soon as i realised.
Answer came in, that it's grand and no probelem at all.

In fact, during times of high traffic I cycle through the city. I cycle to and from work which involves going through the city centre and if I have to go to the centre I'll cycle. I would never bother driving through town at a busy time, it's only if it's quiet that I would do this.

Thanks for the helpful reply though
