Sony Laptop - Battery Issue

    Hey, My mum has a Sony Laptop PCG-7ZIM whose battery has failed. She bought a battery which was "compatible" on the amazon site which ended up not working & screwing up windows in the process. In any case, she's at a loss to know what battery to get.

    She went to one of the Sony stores (with her laptop) and the people there couldn't give her a definite answer on the type of battery needed, except to give one that would probably work. And she would have to fork out close to €200 and order from the UK.

    Wondering if anyone here has such a laptop or knows a good resource to find out what to buy for this particular model?
