    Hi,

Hopefully someone can help. Basically I've a load (weighing about 300 kg) that I need collected from South Cork and delivered to north Longford by next Monday.

I could (fingers crossed) borrow a car with a hitch, but that means I'd also need to borrow a trailer (not easy).

Anyway given the times that are in it, money's tight! Anyone got any suggestions?* Thanks

Even a Combo / Connect will fit a pallet in the back.

If you can do it in 1 day then it's under €32 to rent one from Enterprise. Cost of fuel to go on top.

Not sure how much a courier company would be and how that would compare. Suppose it depends if you have the time or not.

Drop a user called cormie a PM. He runs vantasks.ie and might be able to accomodate you.

Usually the age restriction is for their insurance. Maybe check with them if you can transfer your own insurance across (check with your insurance company too that you can transfer to a commercial).

www.avisvans.ie were quite a bit more expensive than Enterprise - again, you should be able to transfer insurance.

    Hey jesusinaglanza,

I called them yesterday evening, they sure are cheap!
55 blips (+VAT) for the run. That includes a pallet truck pickup up and dropping off the item, door to door!

Couldn't beat that, not even with the suggested super cheap enterprise rented van. I'm delighted you posted, thanks

How can they do for that price? Surely the fuel would be more than that never mind paying a driver for his time! Good deal!

His won't be the only pallet load on the truck, I'd imagine.

There would be loads of pallets on the truck and their costs would be already met, that 55euro is just more profit for them, Still reasonable price
