Anyone else notice that lately that both websites are getting awfully slow?

On PP it takes ages for the ads to load for me, a bit annoying

well boyles "new site" is an absolute disgrace,it constantly freezes and whats the deal with the account statement? you cant even see if your
selections have won or lost if you done an acca. the old boyles site is so dated that they had to update i suppose but compared to powers it seems like a group of 12 yr olds designed it. the only reason i stay with boyles is that generally i find their prices a bit better than Powers, but thats really it.

That's the reason I went from Boyles to Powers, generally on horses they have better odds and they have more markets for League of Ireland matches (usually the only football I bet on).

If business factors and rumours are to be believed, Boyles are in trouble as a business. 2 CEO's have resigned for 'personal/family reasons' within a year. I have been told they have removed all ads and prices from the Racing Post (don't get it at the moment so open to correction). All major sponsorships deals (Sunderland, darts, Cheltenham) have been cancelled or not renewed within the last 6 months too.

Worrying signs from them and possibly a time when they cannot invest in improving the site.

    interesting myflipflops.

I have noticed a lack of marketing by Boyles and they have seemed to slip into the unknown echelons of existence. Will watch that space.

What does anyone think of their contacts/knowledge etc.? I remember them being the only ones who seem to know whats going on in the Irish racing world. They were the shortest in the industry on some nice winners at the Irish Derby festival. Gave me the impression they knew. Also at Cheltenham with some of the Irish winners. Especially the one from Gilligans yard - forgot the name of it now. Big price though.

they have removed all ads and prices from the Racing Post

Correct for a couple of weeks now.
Celtic seem to have taken over their spot in the Post (probably got a cheap offer to advertise?).

Boyles have taken over sponsored the National Stakes which ain't cheap.

Couldnt agree more the boyles site is rubbish, i filled out the survey they sent out initially and told them as much...looks like the work experience boy was allowed to design it.

Whilst the new one is cack you can still access the old site @ classic.boylesports.com.
I still use it as layout on new site is all over the place.

    Hope it helps
