I have been a learner driver on and off for the past two and a half years.

Last year my car broke down and figured there is no point getting a another car until i have a full license. So had to rely solely on driving lessons for the driving tests. I did three tests. First one was awful - got loads of grade 2s. Second one I approved but still failed. Third one improved yet again but failed. Never got a grade 3s. Failing the third test knocked me down altogether and didnt drive since. That was last year. I put so much work into it getting plenty of lessons and my driving instructor was brillant.

So i hope to start learning again.

I hope to the driving test in a new area with a new driving instructer.

Im filling out the driving test form. I have question.

Do driving test centres open on saturdays for driving tests. Im not willing to take a day off work. Will I stick in a letter demanding for a test on a saturday.

I have another question. I am also filling out the renewal of the learner permit. Could i lie on the forms and put Dr. instead of Miss. Like my name is Dr ilovesleep instead of miss ilovesleep. A driving tester might pass a dr more easily than a miss.

I don't know the answer to your first question. I definitely wouldn't lie on any of those forms. They probably won't find out any different, but as testers they are meant to (and trained to) be unbiased on any ground, and base your result solely on how you perform during your test.

Currently there are numerous test centres running tests on Saturdays and also late in the evenings midweek. There is a push at the moment to get the test waiting list reduced.

Enquire and you can state your preference to sit your test on a Saturday or around your work schedule.

Get as much practice as you can between now and your test.

    Best of luck with it.

I did the driving test recently on a Saturday. As Tester was coming out he made comment about missing the Rugby. I ended up with 40 grade 2s, 26 more than my previous attempt. These guys dont like working on a Saturday.
