HEllo everyone of all race, genders and creed.

I'm here to ask the most extraordinary question ever asked.

I'm thinking about doing a fas course, and this morning I registered with my local fas office. however I'm not signed on for social welfare. I've been told that I should sign on because if I don't then I'll have to pay for the course, and I'd have to join it without the help of fas - which I actually think is incorrect seeing as if your registered with fas, (which I now am) then you that should be enough seeing as fas and social services are separate

And so the sexually alluring problem arises - what happens, with regard to the question I'm about to ask.

If I sign on will the training allowance for the course be ADDED to my jobseekers allowance/benefit; or will it mean that your only given the training allowance and the jobseekers allowance/benefit will be taken away?

before people go apesh*t I already asked questions from the man in the fas office and he didn't know the answers to a lot of my questions; HE said he was Knew.

If you answer my question your greatness shall be known throughout the world!!

The Fas allowance will be the same or slightly more than jobseekers allowance, cos it includes some travelling allowance.; its a substitute for it.
Don't try to offer me any sexual services though. :D

Very true - it seems almost a shame to push this into another, perhaps better suited forum...

If you're not on a social welfare payment, you can't recieve the Fas allowance - so definitely sign on! As someone else said, the Fas allowance will come to slightly more than the social welfare will give you, with travel allowances too. Not only that, Fas courses are an awful lot better than doing nothing!! Good luck OP :)

    thanks for the replies,

but still, my question has not been answered, and I fear if the question remains unanswered I shall have to resort to buying justin bieber's album - and listening to it as I watch the extraordinarily philosophical musings of tv 3's expose!

My question has been answered in so far as you've told me that the training allowance is more than the jobseeker's allowance - and thank you for answering that much; I appreciate it in the same way that glenda gilson appreciates destroying and exposing the darkness of humanity by contributing to a tv show that was created for the sole purpose of reporting on ''all the latest glitz and glamour from the red carpet'' yay now my life is truely fufilled.

but the question I wanted to know was If I do a fas course, will my training allowance be given WITH the jobseeekers allowance (which I unfortunately signed onto yesterday - believe me I didn't want to - I was told that if I didn't I would have to pay for the course, and in addition wouldn't be given any allowance!).

OR will I then be given the training allowance and HAVE TO BE TAKEN off the jobseeker's allowance?

thank you and may god bless you in the same way he's blessed eminem with the believe that now he's ''focused only on raising his daughter''.

p.s. what the hell is OP.

If you do the Fas course you will be taken off your Jobseekers Allowance and Fas will pay you, you don't get both payments. It is generally similar amounts maybe more because of travel expenses. When you are finished your Fas course you will be put back on your Jobseekers but you must go tell the Social Welfare that you are finished your course with Fas when the time comes, it's not done automatically. Hope this helps :D

No, you'll only get one payment at a time.

Including irrelevant crap about TV3 and Glenda Gilson makes you look as though you are up to mischief, and as such, people on this forum will be reluctant to answer you.

If you have a question, ask it, leave the irrelevant crap off the thread.
