Losing reception when it rains :(

    Hi All

    I installed a quad lnb a few months back. In the last few days I've noticed I loose reception when it rains heavy or there is a strong wind.

    Is there anything I can do to prevent this happening?

    The quad lnb is a lot heavier than a single lnb. I always realign a dish when i swap from a single lnb to a quad lnb. Also then lnb probably needs to be Skewed to maximum signal as you stand in front of the dish the bottom of the LNB needs to be facing to 7 o clock on a clock face.

    Chuck Norris can re-align your dish by looking at it.
    But Bruce Schneier can decode NDS and MPEG4 HD in real time just by thinking about it.

    He also knows Bob and Alice's Secret keys and what it is that Eve wants to steal.

    Ah well Tony I still have a long way to go. But to be honest if it was not for guys like Watty and yourself sharing your expertise and knowledge I would know a lot less

    Simulate rain by draping a wet J Cloth over the LNB face and then allign to the optimum position. It's probably that your dish has just shifted slightly
