Authorised iPhone unlock not working??

    I need to unlock my iphone before I sell it, so called 02 and they said they would send me out an unlock code. I got a text just now saying it was activated. It said put in a foreign sim and sync to iTunes. It did not work. I called 02 but they do not know.

    Any idea what I do now?

    You shouldn't need to put in a foreign sim, just leave in your ordinary sim and connect to itunes and itunes should remove the lock..

    Just tried it with my original sim too, no difference :(

    Maybe o2 have only put in the request, might take a few days for apple to send the info to itunes..

    Most of the time you have to restore to get it activated.

    you should receive 2 texts :
    1. to tell you the unlock request has been sent to Apple
    2. to tell you its completed and now you connect to iTunes.

    is it possible you have only received the first text?
