I think it sums this country up at the moment, This country is on its Knees, new taxes all the time, no sign of any leadership from the government, times are getting harder and a long hard winter is coming.

How comes we cant make a stand and protest about the shambles we are in here in this country, but we can protest against Tony Blair (Who's decisions really didnt affect us) and also throw and protest about a has been rock star being late on a stage!

Think we all need to cop on and start making a stand against people that are ruining this once great country.

Have you tried joining one of these groups yourself and encouraged them to protest against whatever it is you want to protest against?

I agree with the OP, the government is withholding thousands of jobs on purpose because we can't shown how annoyed we are with them! The problem with joining any of those groups are that you show up and you're confronted with Palestinian flags for no apparent reason and beardie folk that haven't worked for the last ten years, better off staying in bed

There's a couple of threads started here a week by people telling us we need to rise up and protest.

Why don't they just go and do something themselves, if they want to protest?

Eggs are cheap. Politicians appearances are scheduled. Fire away.

But stop clogging up After Hours with pleas for someone else to make the first move. Please. Go do something other than starting another thread.

You could buy the shoes in a charity shop.
Have a root in the neighbours brown bin for rotten leftovers.
    Problem solved.

I don't live in Ireland, dude. I got out in January.

So maybe it is unfair of me to say what I said but I'm sure if you feel so strongly about protesting there is some avenue you could explore.
