    hey guys!

just wondering if anyone would have a rough idea of how much my insurance would cost?

i've had my licence since march 2010 and this will be my first car....its either a ford ka or fiesta both have about 50,000 miles and are in mint condition!

rough estimations would be greatly appreciated??? :D

Have you tried the usual sites?

    insure.ie
    123.ie
    quinn
    fbd

depends on your location, age, sex, year of car, value of car.

And the type of cover yor looking for TPF&T or comprehensive (think third party only cover is virtually extinct now from my experience of shopping around). Will also depend on what type of license you have as you don't specify...full or provisional?

Your question is pretty much akin to asking how long is a piece of string until you at least answer these questions and questions as outlined by brightkane.

Screw estimations! Ring around tomorrow. I'm guessing you're in your teens or early twenties, so those internet quoting systems are terrible for anyone under 25 in my personal experience.

Ring brokers for insurance companies aswell as their main offices.

When I was swapping cars I called in to Axa in Swords and they wanted an EXTRA 900 for the rest of the year. I gave up on the car and then the next morning I said feck it I'll ring their head office.

Their head office told me there was no change in my premium for the remainder of the year as the car was in the same class as my last one.

Dont bother with the online sites; ring the companies direct and try some brokers, but do it on the phone. When you get some quotes then maybe take a look at the online systems on the off chance that one might come in better, but Id be 90% certain they wont.
