I was getting an attack of GAS until I saw the price tag - €2,157.35!
I agree with stephenshields2, that finish is really nice.

I think the finish is rough as. It looks more like wallop a duck camoflage rather than gun down an Iraqai camoflage.

Also what kind of thumbless nerds are playing these things? The dime never needed more than 6 strings, what the fu(k is Dino going to do with it?? He never used more than 1 string in his prime ie fear factory.

Meh, each to their own and all that :).

I don't get the thumbless comment, don't you need a thumb to hold a pick? As for Dino, he must be some guitarist if he's able to play all those Fear Factory chords on one string.

I like it, the finish is pretty cool looking. Those kahlers come stock on some of the Agile 8 string models too, as far as I know they are the only company making a production 8 string trem.

I don't know if you're joking or not? There's loads of use for 8 strings. I play a lot of touchstyle stuff on mine, the added range means I can do bass parts and leads on the same instrument. It can do everything a normal 6 string can do and then more.

The neck looks sooooo wide on that thing.

Anyone ever played an 8 string? Are they very uncomfortable??

I've never played an 8 string but I play 7 string guitar regularly and I was convinced that the neck would be too uncomfortable on one of those. Nowadays the 7 string neck feels normal and a standard 6 string neck feels too narrow :).

Yeah, I've played a bit of 7 myself, but Ive never went and bought one cos I can never justify it!! :D

Do you get your moneys worth out of the 7th string?

I have an 8 string Agile that I use all the time in my band. The neck is a bit wide but it's not too uncomfortable, after a while you get used to it. I've been playing 7's for years and people think that neck is wide on them but I don't really notice it either, I find them really comfy. I think they are well worth trying, there's so much you can do with them and you can play anything anyone can play on a 6 string without having to change anything.

I do anyway. The extended range is great. As well as being a big Fear Factory fan, the other reason I bought one is that I got fed up of playing songs in different tunings and having to retune the guitar between songs. Once your guitar is in B tuning, it doesn't matter if the song you're playing is in E, D#, dropped D, dropped C# etc, you've got the range covered. This isn't always true but for just jamming out power chords it works.

Played an 8 string in musicstore recently. Im not for them. I love 7's but I personally coulnt get my head around 8. I mean I can see why people like them, but she aint my type of beast.
