    where does this stand on the xbox scale? what am i missing out on by buying the elite over another one?

    Not bad for the older models:

    However, compared the the current versions it doesn't have built-in wifi and it's using the older two fan system.

    Dont see the point in getting the new model myself.

    On the Xbox scale i think its just about at the top below the new model

    Elite is apparently red ring of death free, a lot quieter and comes with a 120gb drive.
