    Hi i was wondering if i was to apply for rent allowence as a couple with my partner would our JSA be effect in anyway.

    Hi. Im new to this and i cant figure out how to post a new thread so sorry for the invasion :). I hope some one can help me. I understand that in order to recieve rent supplement I must have been renting for 6 months or be on a council house list. I have been renting in kildare the last 7 months. Im moving to Laois Wednesday and have just been informed im losing my job. My question is- will i get rent supplemnt as iv been renting in kildare the last 7 months or do i need to be renting in the new house im moving to for 6 months? Cant find info on this anywhere! :pAny advice welcome. Thanks :o

    yes u are entitled to rent allowence and it does not interfere with your JBA :)
