Just doing a bit of reading up/research on Dennison. These were assembled/constructed in Rathcoole in Dublin in the late 70s/very early 80s before recessionary times forced the closure of the truck making side of the company. They went back to making Trailers.
As i understand it,they only made approx 150 Trucks, would that be right? I would have though there would have been more sold.

This above picture shows a January '81 Dublin reg'd Dennison MK2 with a cab designed by SISU in Finland. It appears to have a Rolls Royce 265 engine too.

Recall seeing a few of those Dennisons around in the past and at shows lately but nothing like that Yellow Drombane one, that really is fugly! Looks like it was based on a Foden cab?

It was around the same that Hinos that were starting to be imported which must have affected sales.

AFAIK, Dennison Trailers are still in business in Naas, Co. Kildare.

I have seen '920 AZL' at many classic shows over the years... and it's always a pleasant surprise to see an original Irish-built truck so well preserved!

Was there a special road tax rate for vehicles made in Ireland such as this one?
