I hope some one here can advise me...

I went off my meds there two weeks ago, was on effexor 225mg for almost 6 months and Lexapro 20mg for a year before that.

A mate of mine was who works in the forensics area told me that these meds show up in a simple urine test. This really worried me as I am currently applying for work placements at the minute, most of which will generally require a medical.

Since comming off the meds, I felt awful at first and today I feel brilliant today...alot better than I have been in a long time! I am going back to my doctor this week to let him know, but I am just wondering how long generally do these things stay in your system?

I thought that if prospect employers found out that any chance of a placement would be dead in the water...

As you are going back to your doctor to discuss this, I really think he is best placed to answer your questions.
