UPC Digital box problem

    tv screen is freezing and too long to change channels, would appreciate any help in fixing this pls:o

    Is it only a recent occurance? Was it working okay previously? Did you try plugging out the box and a few minutes and plugging it back in?

    I have the same problem. Noticed yesterday evening. All my scheduled recordings were gone when I powered up last night, and the box is very sluggish. Actually I have a pair of dvr's and they are both showing the same problem.
    Also, the LCD display on front of box which usually shows channel and program details is only showing the first 3 characters of the channel. It can scroll up to 3 chars, gets stuck and resets, but still only 3 chars after it tries again.

    As both boxes are in trouble, I'd guess that there was a software upgrade since Friday night which has caused a problem.

    Will try ring upc tomorrow.

    I have powered down both boxes, to no avail.

    i getting the very same problem.

    looks like a bad software update. will wait a few days and see if they sort it out

    at least i now know that its not just my box

    Me too (in Cork). Noticed the STB being a bit slow yesterday and its impossible to browse through upcoming programs on other channels (they don't show up n the EPG)
    Its good to know that the problem is not just with my box. Hopefully there'll be a solution soon.

    Was on hold with support for ages today, had to hang up when lunch break was finished. Really annoyed. When I got home, both boxes working perfectly. Recent problems gone. There must have been another update overnight.
