They haven't gone away you know! The penultimate game of the Tri-Nations today with South African Coach Peter de Villiers on the brink of the Abyss - again - even if the Boks win this one he is probably gone. Also caught in the headlights of the oncoming train is Brian Habana - anybody remember when he last had a good performance? Australia go into this match at underdogs at 12/5 while South Africa are 1/3. It's a big ask for the Aussies but I'm going for them and I hope they tear the Boks a new one. :D

South Africa: F Steyn, JP Pietersen, J Fourie, J de Villiers, B Habana, M Steyn, Francois Hougaard, G Steenkamp, J Smit, J du Plessis, D Rossouw, V Matfield, S Burger, J Smith, P Spies

Replacements: C Ralepelle, CJ van der Linde, F van der Merwe, R Kankowski, R Januarie, J de Jongh, G Aplon

    Australia: K Beale, J O'Connor, A Ashley-Cooper, M Giteau, D Mitchell, Q Cooper, W Genia, B Robinson, S Moore, S Ma'afu, M Chisholm, N Sharpe, R Elsom, D Pocock, B McCalman

    Replacements: S Faingaa, J Slipper, D Mumm, R Brown, L Burgess, B Barnes, A Faingaa

    Referee: Wayne Barnes (Eng)
Assistant Referees: Nigel Owens (Wal), Simon McDowell (Ire)
    TMO: Johan Meuwsen (RSA)

I almost thought there was no tri-nations match this weekend with the absence of a thread. Thanks!

Hoping for a good match here. Aussie team still doesn't seem physical enough though.

Bringing Moore and McCalman in will help. Chisholm adds nothing, he must be the worst player to ever get 50 odd caps for a top 8 country

    Good start already, lovely handling

Great skip pass from Cooper for the first try. Aus playing well, bar a Springbok period after the first pen.

Boks a lot better in the second half, could a comeback be on the cards

I am not sure if Pocock will manage to get through the second half without a yellow card

some comeback from SA to take the lead, but have they anything left in them though or are aussies shell shocked? may not be classic rugby but it's enjoyable!

when mitchell scored they showed a rotund south african fan with a sour puss. the aussie commentator said " look at that fat springbok fan,he's not happy and no body cares".absolutely hilarious

south africa deserved to lose. i hate to see teams run down the clock like that.not even taking the tackle, pass go to ground, pass go to ground.ruck formed cant contest. its so negative. counter productive and boring to watch.good won over evil today.

Ah jaysus now! Did you expect them to throw it around or wha? Crazy post tbh, every team would do the same.

some aussie guy on planet rugby started a thread "how did we lose this game".obviously started it before the final whistle.he is being currently informed his team won

australia had 14 men. kick it to their corner and give away penalties down their end, not within kicking range on the highveld.game management ........
