Cheap AA batteries, Boots Jervis St - only €1 for 6 pack

They have loads of these packs, but you need to go upstairs in the shop, I didn't see this in the main part of the shop, otherwise I reckon they would've been gone in a nanosecond. According to the sales assistant, Boots are probably just making way for new packaging of them, because the best before date is as late as 2013.
The 'two for the price of three' offer is valid as well

"extra long life" are cr*p, need to be alakaline - u can get more "extra long life" for €1 in your local €uro shop but they don't last.0 -
