    Hi there :)

I have an audio CD which where I want to import the files onto my computer and then onto Songbird.

However when I open the CD on my computer all there is is the album cover etc.

Why is this? I presume it's something to do with copywrite?

Install EAC (Exact Audio Copy) (free & safe).

Insert CD and EAC should be able to list (and extract) audio tracks for you. The CD plays in a normal CD Player\Stereo so it must follow most, if not all, of the Compact Disc 'Red Book' standards.

I forgot to add, no idea if this advice is still correct, hold down the 'Shift' key on your keyboard while the CD is being inserted and recognised, to prevent the CD from booting any software or other intrusive process that might interfere with the optical drive\PC\Laptop being able to 'see' the audio part of the CD.
