Elastics on braces?

    Hey, I just got braces today....ceramic on top, metal on bottom, just to fix some teeth that are crooked. There are no elastics on them? should there be?

    Not nececssarily. I presume you have a wire running along the front of your teeth? That will slowly move your teeth up/down and out. The elastics are used to close gaps and may be used later.
    Good luck with your braces. Keep the wax handy.
