Cheap Beer Supervalu Killester

Anybody taking advantage of this shops "bin" of €1 500ml cans of beer better take a good look at the expiry dates! I bought a couple of cans of Karpackie which are OK but also a can of Budvar which tasted crap. I had a look at the expiry date, whew, 3rd July 2010, a full 2 months out of date, still have the crap taste in my mouth. Can't remember what else was in this "bargain" bin, saw some Amstell, Tennants, etc but please, for your own health, don't go there.

2 months past the best before date should be fine.

maybe you just don't like the taste of budvar in a can ?

i agree with you over the 2 months thing, should be pretty good and i normally take advantage of anything going that was a bit over the best before date. i like budvar and would rate it a lot better than the american bud but this was rank. totally rank. usually if something is short dated it's listed as such to give you a chance to make up your mind but here, nothing. i went in to buy fish (in the normal shop, not the off licence) and it was pretty good! so, good fish, bad beer.

nuthin on millar deals in supervalu but i think o'briens on vernon avenue have some kind of deal going on coors cans
