Trevor Thom Manuals

I bought the complete set of "The Air Pilot's Manual" in Elstree recently. 7 volumes. (Got them in a second hand bookshop about a mile from the airfield - not Pooley's). They seem to be very comprehensive, but they are about 10 years out of date.

Has anything of note changed in that time in relation to aviation law and are the manuals I purchased still relevant ?
I am assuming (perhaps wrongly) that changes to aviation law in the UK are applied in Ireland for practical reasons.

I am impressed with the Trevor Thom Manuals, but if anyone can recommend any other flight training manuals, especially any specific to Ireland, I would be grateful.

Apologies to the mods if this query has been raised here before. Feel free to merge this thread if this is the case.

You would be wrong about UK air law but you can easily get copies of our own laws.

There are no specific Irish books, never were. But as we are all under EASA/JAA. It no longer matters. That's the important thing about the books you bought Are they JAA compliant? Are they suitable for use in preparing for the exams?
