[Wanted] Single room near GMIT

    Last resort.
    Desperately need single or double room in a house share near GMIT where rent allowance is accepted.
    I secured a place as a mature student in GMIT, but am on Jobseekers Allowance and Rent Supplement in Dublin.
    Been all over Daft.ie and took bus to Galway 4 days in the last 2 weeks to view house shares that originally said rent allowance accepted but none of the addresses are listed on prtb.ie, and existing tenants are 'unsure' whether landlord will give lease and pps no., receipts etc to Social Welfare.
    Can't believe I'm not going to be able to take the place on the course, as I can't get accommodation.
    Max rent allowable by Soc. Welfare in Galway for single person sharing house is Eur255 so anything up to Eur260 is doable.
    Since last budget Grant AND BTEA (Back to Education allowance) is not allowed so only option is BTEA and Rent Supplement.
    Anybody got any leads????
    This is the last chance saloon!!!!
    So sick of wasting money travelling by bus to Galway to view house shares that are not acceptable for rent allowance.
    Course start date is Mon 13th Sept.
