Got engaged a couple of months ago and starting to think about the wedding, however, neither of us have any idea of what kind of wedding we'd like. We originally thought a regular Church and reception wedding but now we're thinking that it's not really us. My question is basically, has anyone been to this show last year? What's it like? Would it be good for giving us ideas? Or would we be wasting our time? Thanks :D

First of, congrats on the engagement!!!

No harm in going along to get various ideas and it will in turn hopefully help you in making a decision as to what you think you would like to go for.

    Hi there,
Congrats on the engagement and best of luck with the planning!!!
I got engaged last year and went to this show in Feb.
At that stage we hadnt yet booked a venue so were mainly concentrating on that!
There are plenty on suppliers there and a lot give discounts. They say these are show discounts but many of them will still give you the same discounts if you book anything with them even in a couplr of months but say that you spoke to them at the show!
I would recommend going to it...even if just for tasting all the yummy cakes :)
