I don't think that would've been on today i was in the town today and it was really foggy and raining really heavy all day, they usually fly over the town and you see them but i didn't see or here them. Its just started raining again anyway.

I was in Cornwall a couple of weeks ago and the Fowey regatta was on. The Red Arrows were due to fly at 6 p.m. It was only 20 mins from where we were staying so I planned to take the kids over.

However, it was an absolutely miserable day. Heavy rain and visibility wasn't great either. I assumed that they wouldn't fly on a day like that so didn't go, but I heard the next day that it did happen.

I suppose if they only flew in the UK and Ireland when it wasn't raining, they wouldn't fly too often.

But whats the point in them flying if you can't see them, thats utterly pointless.

Im just back from the air show the weather was pretty bad got soaked im from dublin so it was a bit of a distance and the only reason i went up was to see the hunter,Typhoon and the red arrows so i was pretty disappointed when the hunter was canceled and the typhoon didnt show up they say due to bad weather come on bad weather its a fighter for christ sake can it not fly in weather the red arrows were able to display there low level routine just before the typhoon was meant to come on so in my opinion it did'nt even try to head up to portrush.

What you complaining about they can't stop it, its just typical northern ireland weather, sunny as hell all week when we are at work and school and then when it comes to the weekend it buckets down.

To be fair the Reds didnt stay long as far as im aware ( wasnt there ) To be fair Safety is PARAMOUNT to everything else, sure the Tiffy is an All-weather Aircraft but thats for Operational reasons ( Patrol/War/etc ), They operate to a high degree of Safety for Airshows/Public Displays/Flypasts and if its made that it is not good to fly at that time then they will not fly.

Also the Reds dont like to fly a low-routine ( believe me i know ) as does any other display Pilot as its just a flat display which is going to be nowhere near as good as a high level display.
