WE 1911 MEU upgrade compatibility

    Hey guys,

    Got my 1911 back and looking to upgrade it. I only use this for plinking not for skirmishing. What i want to know is what parts are compatible with it with regards to tokyo marui and KJW. An example would be, would a guarder high flow vave for a Tokyo marui M1911 fit with my WE 1911 MEU. Im looking to get:

    (1) High flow valve. Are marui's aftermarket parts compatible with WE?
    (2) Piston head. Are marui's aftermarket parts compatible with WE
    (3) Recoil and Hammer spring.
    (4)Spring guide. Can i put a longer spring guide in, as opposes to the short one?
    (5)Tight bore barrel. Will a marui aftermarket barrels work?
    (6)Slides? wouldnt ming trying to get a slide with proper trades on it. will marui aftermarketslides fit?
    (7) What hop-up would be ideal for it?

    Any ideas or suggestions welcome and apologies if its a bit badly phrased.

    Hi there.
    The WE 1911s are a clone of the Marui design, so most parts are interchangeable to the extent that you can take the slide, barrel, recoil spring and guide from a WE 1911 and slide it onto a Marui MEU and it works great.

    The main difference is how the guide rod engages with the outer barrel. On the Marui's the rod slides onto a pin and is held in place, whereas on the WEs the rod is unattached to anything and is loosely held in place with just the recoil spring. You could put a longer guide rod in but you'll have to replace the guide plug.

    Blowback assemblies look identical so the piston heads are no doubt the same. Marui barrels should work fine.

    Note that the Marui slide wouldn't slide onto the WE frame despite working the other way round, so there are ever so slight differences.
