The D Hotel / The City North

Hi, I'm a B2B on a budget as I'm sure many of us are in the current economic climate. I did orginally want something that I could have exclusive use over, but upon looking at costs, things like catering and bars started to rule them out.
Both the D Hotel and the City North are doing good deals at the moment, and I was wondering whether anyone had had their wedding or has booked it for either of these places. I do really like both, the problem is that for say the D Hotel you have nowhere really for photos, and would like to know if anyone had this problem. The City North can provide somewhere off-site for photos, but you are overlooking the motorway
Also, if anyone else has had a good deal with someone in the Drogheda area please let me know. Sorry for the ramblings, any help would be greatly appreciated :D

    Blondie,
We'd our wedding in The Waterside House Hotel in Donabate, 25 mins up the motorway from Drogheda. Ourselves and all our guests were very happy with the venue and it was great value as long as you're prepared to do a bit of bargaining. The location is fantastic, we got a nice sunny day so took all our photos out back just up from the beach.

Citynorth is a bit soul-less in my opinion. I've been at a couple of functions there, it's newness and completely random location on the motorway make for a strange sort of venue. But, the food and service is excellent and it's got loads of bedrooms for guests.

    Best of luck.

    Hi Runforestrun.
I have actually booked the Waterside for my wedding next year so glad to hear the good report!
Could you tell me what areas you were able to bargain with the hotel on??
    Thanks

The Waterside looks beautiful. How guests did you have? Could you PM me with the details that you managed to bargain them with, I'd be really interested with having a look at them.
Thanks. Anymore views on any other venues would be appreciated :D
