Quick Excel question

    Hey there

I'm being outfoxed by a formula in excel - I know there are loads of excel junkies out there so if one of you has any ideas I'd be grateful. :-)

I'm planning a project and I have an end-date (of say 1 September)

There are a number of activities that have to take place before then, all of which are a specific number of days before the end-date.

I could just do =sum([end date cell]-10) to display a deadline 10 days before the end date but, of course, that assumes a 7 day week - we only work 5 days and that's the bit that's foxing me!

I thought the NETWORKDAYS formula might work but I couldn't get it going?

Any thoughts or creative ideas are most welcome! :-)

    thanks a million - S

    Try using WORKDAY instead.
