Left handed/ right handed

I'm no golfer but playing pitch n putt for years.

Not seen a thread on this, could be daft, we'll see
I'm left handed but swing off my right side. Took a golf lesson once and pro said it was no issue at all and very common.

I would have thought it would be more natural for a left hander to swing off their left but maybe not.

Poll added, please don't tell me I'm a freak :pac:

my golf has been so bad in the last 2weeks , i'm wondering am i actually left handed ...lol

2nd that, can putt no probs left handed, seriouslt thinking of slowly changing everything over ... god this game drives me mad, but I still love it!!.

I'm also a leftie, but play right-handed
Was also thinking the same, but it might not be worth trying playing leftie at this stage, it would probably take a long time to get a proper leftie swing going

btw, I also know a rightie who plays golf left-handed

Right, I'm a right handed. Play Golf and racket sports right handed. Play snooker left handed but revert to right handed when using a rest. Shoot a rifle left handed and a pistol right handed. Am left footed, oh and can play darts with either hand.

I'm a lefty, started playing left handed and played for 3 years until I was checked on a swing trainer and found out I could hit it longer and more accurate right handed. never went back to left hand

I'm a right playing left. I remember reading something by Phil Mickelson I think it was where he believed it to be an advantage for a person to play left if they have a stronger right. It's to do with the right arm being stronger on the follow through leading to a more balanced swing and being able to keep the club straight on the line. I am firmly of this belief too
