Dead doctor found in man's chimney

A doctor died when she tried to get into the home of the man she had been dating by sliding down the chimney.

Dr Jacquelyn Kotarac's body was found stuck in the chimney days later. Investigators in Bakersfield, California, do not suspect foul play.

The 49-year-old apparently climbed on the roof last Wednesday night, removed the chimney cap and slid feet first down the flue after unsuccessfully trying to get into the house by other ways.

The man whom Dr Kotarac was pursuing had left the home unnoticed to avoid a confrontation.

The body went undiscovered for several days until someone noticed smells coming from the fireplace.

Firefighters dismantled the chimney on Saturday to remove the body.

I've heard loads of stories over the years about people trying to climb down chimneys. Apart from the santa related ones, they all turned out badly. Why do people still try this nonsense?

Was she a proctologist?

Feck, I hope she broke her neck or something on the way down and died instantly. Can't imagine how awful it would be to spend your last hours/days like that. How big are these people's chimneys anyway!
