Some nice stuff there - The Day Today, Control, Downfall, L.A. Confidential, Johnny Cash 3-disc set, Doolittle and Trompe le Monde (Pixies), Ziggy Stardust (Bowie), Neil Young At Massey Hall... Pity I'm broke. :(

They won't deliver electronics outside of UK

They can keep their DVDs at the moment thanks to their spectacularly bad exchange rate.

    £1 = €1.50 is a long way off reality

Yeah, a 50% exchange rate when its only 20% in banks, disgrace, they should be boycotted. Most of their deals can be got cheaper on amazon through their private sellers on on ebay

    BEWARE of play.com!!

I get loads of spam from them, with no method of unsubscribing. When I try to log into my play.com account they say they don't recognise the email address! Phoned them up when I was fuming, and couldn't get through the customer service.

I ahve ordered many things from Play.com and have always found them to be both efficient and trouble free.

Why not use the reset password option?
I went through a phase of unsubscribing from unwanted emails recently, and play were no harder than most to unsubscribe from...

When all else fails - mark the sender as spam. Not that I've had any problems with play myself.

Because it says there is no account with that email address if I try to log on, then if I try and create an account it says the email address is already taken.

Does this work for amazon also?
Amazon don't see to ship electronic goods to ireland again now.

I ordered 3 tshirts. 2 got shipped and one still says "awaiting stock" anyone gotten this before? Any idea how long it usually takes to get the stock?

I'm half thinking in this case there will be no replenishing of stock...
I presume the t-shirt was in the £5 / €7.50 offer because it was end of the line stuff, don't see why they'd restock...

Yeah happened me and they never got it back in stock. Send an email to customercare@play.com with your order number and ask them what the story is. They usually reply within 48 hours or else you can just give them a call and see.

Yeah but your delivery is included in the exchange rate which explains why its that figure. Its obviously gonna increase the cost from £5 if they sending it to Ireland.

They used to allow us buy in sterling, being based in Jersey, is postage to Ireland 30% dearer than postage to the Uk? I don't think so

At least sendit still let us pick which currency to pay in

    does this actually work???

what if parcel went missing play.com would say that its your fault for putting wrong address i'd imagine.

Are they still claiming Free Delivery?

If €7.49 is the cheapest I can get a title for on the web and Play are the ones offering it then of course I will get it there.

A bargain is a bargain regardless of their stubborn exchange rate.

Also, never had a problem with them.
