When did you hear your being tested?, unless your fit it might be a little late posting this question.

Where are you to report to?.

if you want it enough, you shouldnt need an extra push

If its for a career in the Defence Forces the tester's are very strict and give absolutely no leeway, even one second outside your time and you fail.

Its not an uncommon question here actually.

IMHO training wont make much of a difference at this stage if I wsas you Id try to get a light workout in tonight and strech and rest on wed and thursday. Also make sure you get good rest before the run.

If you are not a regular runner study and lightly practice technique it can save alot of wasted energy.

As for the lucozade sport question, I would just drink your favourite one there much of a muchness a but dont over do it, if you get a stich it would be a nightmare.

p.s. I am 120kg and refuse to run outside of rugby training and matches the above comes from coaching I have received over general sprints. There is running forum which would probably be best to ask questions.

i meant that if he wanted to make the time or whatever he would be prepared for it like

Ah!.. The problem is that the Defence Forces probably gave him very little notice.

Depending on where he's being tested, there are a few hints and tips I might be able to give him to help pace himself.

its more of a pre selection day noting that happens counts but its exactly the same lay out as will be on the main selection date its to see what your capable of and what needs to be worked on to get me ready for the actual day

this will raise a few eye brows alri but its for the royal Irish army
i was told the Irish army are not looking for people at the moment so i went for the royal Irish. Im half way through the application process so was looking for something that will give me that extra kick for the training day that worth be worth while to give me that extra push and make sure i make a good impression as i wont be put forward for the real one unless i prove im ready to go for the real one

Just to let you know the Irish Army are recruiting at the moment in case it still interests you though you would probably have a more interesting career in the British Army these days

OP we're recruiting at the moment.. However since you've begun the process with the BA I'll just wish you the very best of luck.

There's a few ex-BA lads posting in the military forum who would give you lots of info.

Only info I can give you at this stage so is to run, run & run - get used to pacing yourself, don't do any drugs (you'll be tested). You've a tough road ahead of you, and I wish you the very best.
